Description:Summary
Provides technical support for BAS jobs in warranty, service work orders, BAS Service Contracts, BAS Monitoring Contracts, Upgrades and Upfits, and controls related T&M jobs
Duties:Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
� Responsible for installing and servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
� Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, repair, and program HVAC equipment
� Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses and repairs instruments and products at a customer�s location
� Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers
� Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary
� Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and literature supplies
� Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear (maladjustment, mis-calibration, malfunction, and drift)
� Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files
� Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact
� Supports HVAC Field Technicians by providing technical assistance and offering guidance
� Provides training and follow-up training at a customer�s site
� Utilizes project plans to prioritize and schedule work sequences
� Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need
� Provides technical support to customers
� Provide technical sales assistance
� Able to develop, maintain, and enhance customer relationships
� Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required; regular travel requirements with occasional overnight travel
Qualifications:Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in HVAC, Computer Science or Computer Science related field and three years field experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 95, 98 & NT; must be familiar with Trane and various other HVAC products; working knowledge of Trane control products and software; working knowledge of Tridium, Lon, and BacNet products; **experience with Siemens controls strongly preferred!**

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver's license

The physical demands of the position include occasional stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling and frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and balancing. Material handling demands include lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and frequent lifting up to 10 lbs., placing the position in the Medium Physical Demand Classification (PDC). Must be able to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
